Visiting Banjul

Banjul aerial view

The capital of Gambia is the small city of Banjul, with a population of only around 35,000 people. From this aerial view you can see that it resembles more of a sprawling town than a national capital. Banjul is actually one of the smallest capital cities in the world, which is one of the things that makes it so easy to explore. The photo below shows another view from one of the taller buildings in the downtown area.
