While America definitely doesn't have any ancient ruins, it still has an interesting past and more history than it gives itself credit for. As an American, I was never too excited about exploring my own country, and any vacation time I took was always spent overseas. Finally I took a small trip to New England and when I noticed the different culture and all the new activities to do I realized how much I was missing out in my own country. Since then I decided to add all the 50 states to my site and have been getting close. There are actually only two states I have never visited, but some of the states have no links above since I don't have any photos from those trips and will have to revisit. On my next domestic trip, I expect to revisit Michigan to see an old friend who lives in Detroit and hopefully explore part of America's ice box. |
