Slovenija |
Welcome to the worst page on my website! While newer trips like Afghanistan and North Korea both have over 120 photos each, I took only three photos during my trip to Slovenia way back in 2003. Although my pictures are few and horrible and my trip was short, I can say while I wasn't walking around with a camera I did have a great time. For such a tiny nation, Slovenia is packed with lots of history in its capital of Ljubljana and the port city of Koper, while interesting places to visit include castles like Predjama, the Triglav Lakes Valley and Julian Alps. Since Slovenia is a small country, I'd like to return one day to the capital and stay inside one of their apartments that you can rent out such as Levc Apartments, and from there I could travel around to different parts of the country. |

![]() I wasn't able to reach any of the places I just mentioned above except for the port city of Koper. At the time of my visit, I was living on an aircraft carrier which made a port call in Koper while we were cruising in the Adriatic sea. Out of the five nations we visited on our Mediterranean cruise that winter, Slovenia by far had the nicest and most welcoming population. Although I just got a tiny glimpse of what this country had to offer, from what I saw and other people have told me this is one the most beautiful countries on the Adriatic, and I certainly look forward to going back one day and seeing it properly. Until then I must leave this shameful representation of Slovenia... |
