| France has a reputation for being a very romantic country with lots of great food and many places to see, but also has a reputation for being rude. Unfortunately for me I ran into a few situations where this proved true, but for the most part everyone I met were very kind and helpful. My neighbors in Virginia are straight from France, and they are seriously some of the most generous people I've ever met in my life! Anyway getting back to the country, I first arrived to the city Marseille from my aircraft carrier. On the left is a picture of downtown Marseille, the largest city in the Mediterranean Sea. The other three pictures below are all from Marseille as well. |

| Louvre Museum is one of the largest and oldest museums in the world. Last year in 2005 the museum had 7.3 million visitors! The museum holds hundreds of very famous paintings and works of art. On the left is the famous Mona Lisa and to the right is the remains of the Venus statue. |
