| I have always been more interested in traveling to more exotic and tropical places as opposed to backpacking in Europe. I first went to Europe while I was in the US Marines and we were spending 6 months on a ship in the Mediterranean sea. We stopped at several countries and we had a great time everywhere we went and it was at that point I saw I had really underestimated traveling in Europe. Some countries in the world might be very big but only with a few major highlights. Europe on the other hand, is filled with dozens of tiny countries, and even if you spend plenty of time in them, when you leave you'll find that you didn't come close to doing half of what is there because there is so much to see. |
